For as long as I can remember, I always wanted to be an entrepreneur. As a little girl, I was never missing a chance to pretend I was this successful <business man> (in the 1970’s there was not many female models to get your inspiration from). My fictive businesses were an extension of my passionate self and my bountiful creativity. I guess that is what led me to complete a Bachelor in Business Administration (B.A.A) and a master degree in Management Consulting, as well as starting my 16 years successful journey in the Corporate World. I loved what I did and was certainly passionate about it.
Then came 3 beautiful children… and another passion was discovered. I found my role as a mother extremely fulfilling and fascinating. These little beings cast a spell on me and I could not get myself to go back to the crazy corporate world; I wanted to be with them every step of the way.
Fast forward a few years and, as my bundles of joy are growing up, I am starting to feel the pull for some different kind of 
fulfillment. But nothing that would take me away from them. I wanted to have the freedom to work from home (or anywhere I need to be) and make my own hours. That is when I decided to combine my passion for the outdoors and my desire to become an entrepreneur…. And Genius Earth was born.
Through the process I needed some objective minds to validate and review some of my ideas, such as my brand name and product designs and this is when I found my unsuspected business inspiration and support… my daughter Vanessa. Like me, she loves the outdoors and can provide great insights when it comes to outdoor gear. She has willingly become my products development counselor, a great critic and, not to forget, an amazing product model (as te many Genius Earth photography images can attest to).
I am also thrilled by the fact that she is gaining priceless knowledge on what it takes to start a business and to run it, as well as the opportu
nity to express her own creativity. Above it all, the complicity and the bond we got to develop through this process is so unique and priceless. My relationship with my daughter is truly a gift that keeps on giving.
It has certainly been a roller coaster ride, filled with many successes and tons of learning. Genius Earth is still in the building process (the pandemic has slowed us down a little) but is gaining momentum in both the USA and Canada. The fire is burning strong and we are proudly offering our best selling products to you through this website.
